How to Use the Museum

Art works are fragile and one-of-a-kind. They have been around for centuries and must be preserved for future generations. Touching a painting, a decorative object, a sculpture or a piece of furniture, even if only very lightly, causes irreparable damage. Especially if the works are touched thousands of times. Help us to protect our shared heritage.
Do not:
- Touch the works
- Smoke, drink or eat in the rooms
- Use a flash
- Take pictures of the exhibitions
- Use a cell phone in the exhibition rooms
- Bring bulky objects or animals into the museum and garden
The museum is equipped with a video surveillance network.
Authorization conditions for photographs and reproduction of works (pdf, 15 Kb)

Display of works
Display of works may be modified, in particular during the installation of exhibitions and when certain pieces are on loan.
